Bunker Turret

The Bunker Turret is an Automaton weapon system present at Automaton structures.

Spawning

It is most commonly seen atop Command Bunkers, but have a chance to spawn at Automaton occupied Minor Place of Interests, which start appearing at Suicide Difficulty Icon.pngSuicide Mission difficulty and on Super Helldive Difficulty Icon.pngSuper Helldive difficulty will begin to appear on Automaton Fortresses.

Behavior

The Bunker Turret slowly fires three times before cooling down, and has very little warning of when it is going to fire at Helldivers, besides it aiming at them.

Tactical Information

  • The Turret's laser can instantly kill a Helldiver depending on their Armor Rating, and will cause them to ragdoll on misses, leaving them vulnerable to follow up shots or other Automatons making this turret a high priority threat.
  • The Turret's depression can unintentionally clip through its base, causing it to sometimes fire even lower than expected.
  • Armor AP4 Icon.png Heavy armor penetrating weapons such as the APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle can destroy the turrets from afar before they become a threat in 4 shots or using the RS-422 Railgun which can 1 shot them with a 1.9s charge.

* Parts with their HP listed as "Main" do not have their own individual health. All damage dealt to these parts is transferred to the enemy's Main health pool.
** Refer to armor values and enemy durability as defined in Damage.
*** The percentage of damage that is applied to the enemy's Main health pool. At 0 HP, the enemy dies. Unless the enemy has constitution, then it will bleedout and die.
**** ExDR means explosive damage resistance, this is a percentage between 0 and 100. If this value is 100%, the part is explosive immune, meaning explosives cannot damage it. Explosions will only directly damage Main health if it is internal.


Trivia

  • The Turret has no official name; it is simply referred to as "Enemy Unit" in-game.
  • Before the Escalation of Freedom update, Bunker Turrets at Minor Place of Interests did not function, but could still be destroyed.
