Cyborgs from the First Galactic War.

The Cyborg Legion are an Automaton sub-faction and a returning enemy from Helldivers 1, introduced in the Machinery of Oppression update. They were first encountered on their homeworld of Cyberstan during the course of Operation Valid Pretext.

The Cyborg Legion were former 
Super Earth citizens who wanted to secede from the Federation. Having founded the Cyborg Nation, their secession would land them in direct conflict with the Federation of Super Earth during the events of the First Galactic War
Following their defeat at the end of the war, the Cyborgs were enslaved and forced into the mines of Cyberstan -their former capital- in order to mine resources close to the planet's core. Due to the high temperatures close to the core, the Cyborgs (further[1]) augmented their bodies in order to survive the harsh environment.
During their servitude, the Cyborgs were given mining robots from Super Earth to help with mining resources faster; robots which would later be used to create the first prototypes for the Automatons, before being shipped outside Federation space inside a stolen vessel: Vessel 00.
When the Automaton forces built up into a sizable invasion force they returned to Cyberstan to free the Cyborgs from Super Earth's control.[2]
Now, the Cyborgs mass produce new units by synthesizing flesh at unnatural units in their Cyborg Production Units in Megafactories, explaining how Cyborgs in the 2nd Galactic War differ in form from the Cyborgs in the 1st Galactic War.
Spawning
Cyborg Legion units will only spawn on planets that have the Cyborg Legion subfaction listed on the Galactic War map.
On all difficulties, Agitators and Radicals will spawn and replace Scout Striders and Reinforced Scout Striders.
Starting on 
Suicide Mission, Vox Engines will spawn and replace Factory Striders.
Tactical Information
- The Cyborg Legion Sub-faction consists of 3 enemies: the Agitator, the Radical, and the Vox engine.
- Agitators are Heavily-armored Cyborgs that can command other Automaton units such as Troopers, Devastators and Beserkers. when under Agitator command, these unit's eyes glow Orange-Yellow as opposed to Red, and they begin to move faster. Agitators are equipped with a Hydrogen charger cannon in place of their right arm and an HE grenade.
- When facing a group of enemies with the Agitator present, it is imperative to take out the agitator first; doing so will both de-buff the units under the agitator's control and stun them for a short period of time.
- Radicals are less-armored than Agitators but make up for it with speed and strong close-range tactics. Radicals will run up to helldivers to use their Techno-martial art skills to knock them off their feet. They are additionally equipped with a short-range Hydrogen Scattergun and smoke grenades.
- The Vox Engine is a massive heavily armored Cyborg Mech equipped with three sets of two weapons each: Hydrogen Macro-Culverins, Hydrogen Duster gatling guns, and Icarus Missile Pods.
- Agitators are Heavily-armored Cyborgs that can command other Automaton units such as Troopers, Devastators and Beserkers. when under Agitator command, these unit's eyes glow Orange-Yellow as opposed to Red, and they begin to move faster. Agitators are equipped with a Hydrogen charger cannon in place of their right arm and an HE grenade.

- All units within the Cyborg Legion fire yellow projectiles, in contrast to their Automaton children's red projectiles.
- Infantry Cyborgs have male and female variants differentiated by their voice lines and the appearance of their unarmored upper bodies.

What the Cyborgs are is... rather mundane.
They are just regular humans, DNA-wise. They used to be former Super Citizens who wanted to secede.
Now... Super Earth called that rebellion or an insurrection.
This led them to direct conflict with Super Earth in the First Galactic War.
Following the events of the First Galactic War... the Cyborgs were sent to Cyberstan in enslavement, or as Super Earth would put it... rehabilitation. Here, they were forced to mine close to the core of the planet where temperatures were rather high. So... they needed to make augemtations(sic) to their bodies to survive in these temperatures.
When Cyborgs were made to do their required labor, they were also given certain mining bots from Super Earth, to help them do the mining faster.
It was these mining bots that the Cyborgs in secret, used to create the first prototypes of the Automatons. They snuck these prototypes off in a stolen vessel... a vessel you may have heard of. It is indeed, the Vessel 00.
When the Automatons became a sizable invasion force, they returned to Cyberstan to free the Cyborgs from Super Earth's control.
And... we are here. The Cyborgs have been there ever since, planning for their return.
