Database One
“However, our analysts have identified a large Automaton Data Center, codenamed Database One, deep within Automaton territory. It is protected by exceptionally robust encryption protocols. Whatever data is stored there, much effort has been expended to keep it hidden.
— Major Order Briefing
Database One was the codename of a massive Automaton Data Center located on Wasat. It was captured by the Helldivers, and provided clues to the Automatons origins and potential plans.
Lore
In early June 2184, High Command would identify the existence of a massive Automaton Data Center, codenamed Database One, located on Wasat. A Major Order was issued to capture Database One and extract as much data as possible. After a lengthy push into Automaton territory, the Helldivers were successful in capturing it.
Due to the massive amount of data extracted from Database One, it would take a long time for Super Earth to decipher all the data. Some data was quickly deciphered, with them regarding a massive terraforming project on Cyberstan, and detailed recordings of the impact caused by the Terminid Supercolony.
While most of the information remained unparsed, various keywords would be repeated throughout the data, these included the following: “Nucleus,” “The Final Collective,” and “Vessel 00.”
Nucleus
In October of 2185, High Command discovered intel regarding a possible lead for two of the keywords, and tasked Helldivers to secure one of the two. The data caches containing encryption keys for "Nucleus" were located on Aesir Pass, however it was taken off-world after Helldivers liberated Menkent.
There is currently no available information on "Nucleus."
The Final Collective
There is currently no available information on "The Final Collective."
Vessel 00
In early October 2185, after liberating Mintoria and the Ultramafic Mine, intel on a data cache containing encryption keys would be discovered, with one of them held regarding "Vessel 00" located on Menkent. High Command ordered for the capture one of the two planets holding the encryption keys before they were moved off-world. The Helldivers would succeed in collecting the encryption key for Vessel 00, at the cost of losing intel on "Nucleus."
After unlocking the data, it was revealed that Vessel 00 was a spaceship that departed from Cyberstan in 2180, approximately 4 years prior to the initial Automaton attack. The cargo and destination of that voyage is unknown, but it referred to as the final one the ship made. It is also referred to as the seed or origin of the Automatons.
Trivia
- The information revealed in "Vessel 00" is the first confirmation that the Automatons originated from Cyberstan. While older information hinted at the Automatons and Cyborgs being related, with Automatons calling themselves the "children" of the Cyborgs, this is the first direct link between the two.
