Elevated Overseer

The Elevated Overseer is a flying infantry Illuminate equipped with a rapid burst-firing plasma weapon and grenades.

Spawning

Elevated Overseers are often seen accompanying patrolling hordes of Voteless on their own. Additionally, they may spawn naturally on specific objectives throughout the map, and via Warp Ship reinforcements.

Behavior

Elevated Overseers move by flying above the ground and taking sharp turns to evade attacks. They otherwise slowly advance towards Helldivers while firing quick bursts from their plasma rifle.

They possess armor plating that covers their bodies and protects them against the respective AV category, which can either be bypassed by a higher penetration projectile or destroyed to expose their main body.

Elevated Overseers will intermittently throw grenades between attacks.

Tactical Information

  • An Elevated overseer will attempt to maintain a 10-meter distance from the closest Helldiver.
  • Due to their flight maneuverability and frequent dodging, Elevated Overseers can be difficult to hit.
    • Helldiver can manipulate the movement by diving towards an Elevated Overseer while at the same time applying retaliatory suppression. The dive movement towards Elevated Overseer both forces more stationary retreat and reduces the accuracy or otherwise chances of plasma projectile hitting the offensively diving Helldiver.
    • The ARC-12 Blitzer, ARC-3 Arc Thrower and SG-20 Halt (with stun rounds) can stun them repeatedly and halt their strafing, allowing Helldivers to finish them off without difficulty.
      • Once stunned, a Helldiver can quickly line up a headshot with the P-4 Senator or the APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle and kill them instantly.
      • Being stunned also causes them to drop grenades they were about to throw, significantly reducing their threat.
    • Since the AX/AR-23 "Guard Dog" and AX/LAS-5 "Guard Dog" Rover both have perfect accuracy, they can strip away their armor plating for Helldivers to shoot their exposed flesh.
  • Shooting their jetpacks will detonate them, killing the enemy.
    • Often the jetpack detonates on their own after Elevated Overseer has been eliminated by fire / burning damage. All Helldivers and any other lightly armored entities caught in this explosion will also be eliminated.
    • Care should be taken nearby intact but non-operational jetpacks which remain detonatable. until they are despawned or destroyed.

* Parts with their HP listed as "Main" do not have their own individual health. All damage dealt to these parts is transferred to the enemy's Main health pool.
** Refer to armor values and enemy durability as defined in Damage.
*** The percentage of damage that is applied to the enemy's Main health pool. At 0 HP, the enemy dies. Unless the enemy has constitution, then it will bleedout and die.
**** ExDR means explosive damage resistance, this is a percentage between 0 and 100. If this value is 100%, the part is explosive immune, meaning explosives cannot damage it. Explosions will only directly damage Main health if it is internal.
