The Eradicate Automaton Forces is a Main Mission in Helldivers 2. Helldivers must eliminate a large amount of enemies in a short period of time.
Objective Steps
Eliminate Automaton Forces
- Deploy down the mission area
- Eliminate any/all enemy forces entering and/or inside the mission area
Tactical Information
- Eradication Missions are set up similarly to Tower Defenses, where Helldivers must "hold" the mission area and eliminate the incoming enemies.
- Due to the nature of this mission, Helldivers should equip armor, stratagems, and weapons that are effective at eliminating enemies.
- Equipping Heavy Armor will increase the wearer's survivability, as the small mission area and high volume of enemies results in little room to maneuver and dodge enemy attacks.
- Since Automatons will be deployed from Dropships, equipping Support Weapons that can eliminate them (either destroying the engines, or the vehicle itself) is highly recommended. Despite this, the squad should also equip weapons/stratagems that can eliminate enemies on the ground in case the Dropship deploys its payload.
- Deploying Sentries are also beneficial during this mission since it can aid in eliminating enemies, as well as supporting Helldivers in their task. Special care should be taken in their placement to maximize their coverage, and prevent friendly fire. (either to fellow Helldivers, the sentry themselves, or nearby sentries in the line of fire)
