Exploding Barrels
Exploding Barrels are explosive objects found on Missions. They are considered Environmental Hazards which can be carried and tossed around,
Effect
Will explode when damaged with any weapon with a demolition force of 5 or higher. Many of the barrels leave the surrounding ground area immolated for approximately 10-seconds.
Types Of Barrels
Super Earth Barrels.
Generates on all missions. Most often found at specific Minor Places of Interest and usually plentifully around extraction areas. Often also placed right next to a large amount of mission objective terminals most commonly during "Launch ICBM" and "Enable E-710 Extraction"-missions.

Generated on Automation Missions within most of Outposts.
- Cannot be moved around / lifted. Occasionally these batteries are lore interactable as "Despotic Explosive". These also won't leave the surrounding area immolated when detonated.
These Batteries fuel the Automaton war machine.

Illuminate Barrels
Generated on Illuminate Missions generally within Encampments.
- Unlike fuel barrels, the Illuminate barrels will not leave fire pools but instead have a significantly larger blast radius compared to the SEAF petrol barrels and the Automaton Barrels.
- Note: Explosion can still ignite Helldivers and enemies alike.
- Any surviving Helldiver from the explosion damage will be left immolated / suffers from fire burning status effect.
