An antipersonnel fragmentation grenade. Creates damage over a large area when detonated.

G-6 Frag is a Grenade in Helldivers 2. Compared to the standard G-12 High Explosive grenade, the G-6 Frag grenade trades direct damage and armor penetration for a larger explosion radius and a shorter fuse time.

Procurement

To acquire the G-6 Frag grenade, a Helldiver must spend 2 Medals to purchase the grenade from the first page of the Helldivers Mobilize Warbond.

Tactical Information

The reduction in damage and armor penetration is generally not considered worth it for the increased radius; the G-6 gains only a couple of extra meters of effective splash radius at the cost of almost half of its killing potential, making it much less useful against tougher targets. Its added shrapnel can potentially do a lot of extra damage, but that relies on any of it actually hitting anything in a spot that it might be effective.
