The ME-1 Metal Detector is normally used for clearing out minefields and unexploded ordnance. This version of the kit is used specifically for clearing out unexploded ordnance and is provided when required by the mission.

Players must enter the following sequence, using the controller d‑pad, in order to call down this Special Stratagem during a mission:

Unlock Requirement

The ME-1 Sniffer Metal Detector is a standard-issue Stratagem, available to all Helldivers regardless of rank. However, Helldiver Command only provides this Stratagem during missions involving a 'Disarm Unexploded Ordnance' objective. The Sniffer will no longer be available after all such objectives have been completed.

Gameplay Tips

• When picked up, the ME-1 Sniffer takes up the Helldiver's heavy weapon slot. Any carried heavy weapon will be left on the ground.
• ME-1 Sniffer Metal Detectors despawn after 60 seconds once left on the ground.
