The first version of the crossover, titled "Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2" was planned to include Superstore content released in two phases, with the first phase launched on December 18, 2024[1].
The second phase was originally scheduled for release on December 23, 2024. However, following significant community backlash over the exorbitant pricing of Phase One, Arrowhead and Guerrilla decided to make amends by altering the crossover.
The Phase One offer time in the Superstore was greatly increased, allowing for more Helldivers to farm Super Credits in a reasonable amount of time.
The entire second phase was changed to be a complimentary holiday gift to all active Helldivers, extending their season's greetings.
On December 11, 2025 the return of the crossover, now titled "Helldivers 2 x Killzone", was announced[2]. Starting on December 18, 2025 all original Killzone items, with the addition of new vehicle patterns, were available in a new Legendary Warbond called Righteous Revenants.
Players who have previously purchased any of the Killzone items got the warbond unlocked for free, however those who received the gifted items in December 2024 but did not purchase any Killzone items, would still have to unlock the warbond using 1500 Super Credits. Items previously purchased (or gifted) were already medal unlocked in the warbond.
