The Incendiary MG Devastator is a medium Automaton icon.svgAutomaton that is part of the Automaton icon.svg Incineration Corps Icon.svgIncineration Corps subfaction, and is a variant of the Heavy Devastator. Its Fusion Repeater has been modified into the deadly Fusion Conflagrator and is also equipped with a large ballistic shield.

Spawning

Incendiary MG Devastators can be first found on Medium Difficulty Icon.svg Medium on planets invaded by the Automaton icon.svg Incineration Corps Icon.svgIncineration Corps. Incendiary MG Devastators can spawn from Bot Drops, within patrols, guarding Automaton Outposts and Objectives, or from Bulk Fabricators.

Starting on Challenging Difficulty Icon.svg Challenging, they can be found guarding Minor Places of Interest.

Behavior

Like Heavy Devastators, Incendiary MG Devastators will slowly but constantly push if a Helldiver is within their line of sight, firing their Fusion Conflagrator eight times before cooling down for two seconds.

Incendiary MG Devastators can bash Helldivers with their shield if they're too close, knocking them down. They can also stomp on Helldivers if they are prone.

* Parts with their HP listed as "Main" do not have their own individual health. All damage dealt to these parts is transferred to the enemy's Main health pool.
** Refer to armor values and enemy durability as defined in Damage.
*** The percentage of damage that is applied to the enemy's Main health pool. At 0 HP, the enemy dies. Unless the enemy has constitution, then it will bleedout and die.
**** ExDR means explosive damage resistance, this is a percentage between 0 and 100. If this value is 100%, the part is explosive immune, meaning explosives cannot damage it. Explosions will only directly damage Main health if it is internal.

Fusion Conflagrator

A Fusion Repeater modified by the Incineration Corps. The Fusion Conflagrator introduces a pressurised fuel mixture into each bolt it fires, resulting in a projectile that can potentially ignite any target it hits. is offset by the massive drop in firerate.

Reinforced Steel Fist

Perhaps befitting their violent temperament. Devastator-sized units are known to punch their foes. They often hit with enough force to crack helmets or even fully knock down Helldivers.

Tactical Information

Incendiary MG Devastator

  • Though its Fusion Conflagator fires significantly less projectiles and at a slower fire rate than the Heavy Devastator, its incendiary properties make it deadlier, even if only one hits a Helldiver.
    • As such, Helldivers should immediately go prone upon taking damage to minimize the burn effect.
  • Like Heavy Devastators, they are vulnerable to flanking, especially with the assistance of another Helldiver. Their backpack can be damaged by any weapon and destroying it will also destroy the Heavy Devastator.
  • Shooting the Incendiary MG Devastator's shield with ballistic weaponry will deal no damage to it and the Incendiary MG Devastator.
  • Explosives can stagger Incendiary MG Devastators, causing them to flail their shield and leaving themselves open, in addition to dealing some explosive damage.
    • Shooting their shield with explosive weaponry achieves the same effect.
  • Against the Automaton icon.svg Incineration Corps Icon.svgIncineration Corps, Helldivers can equip armor with the Inflammable and Acclimated armor passives to reduce their damage from fire.
    • Inflammable and Acclimated Helldivers should still be wary of the Incendiary MG Devastator's machine gun, as it will not reduce its ballistic damage.

Devastators

  • A significant number of weapons can destroy a Devastator with a single headshot, such as the P-113 Verdict and R-63 Diligence, so precision is highly rewarded; this is especially so with the Heavy Devastator and their Automaton icon.svg Incineration Corps Icon.svgIncineration Corps variants. Their stomach and pelvis is still vulnerable to any weapon, but it is usually unfeasible for Helldivers to aim at due to the ballistic shield.
  • Similar to other Devastators, the Incendiary MG Devastator's weapon can be shot off, which may be preferable if a Helldiver is unable to land a headshot.
