Lightning Spires (aka Illuminate Tesla Towers) are static defenses often found at Illuminate Encampments and Illuminate exclusive Objectives. They are functionally identical to the A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower, with the exception of dealing about only third of the damage.

* Parts with their HP listed as "Main" do not have their own individual health. All damage dealt to these parts is transferred to the enemy's Main health pool.
** Refer to armor values and enemy durability as defined in Damage.
*** The percentage of damage that is applied to the enemy's Main health pool. At 0 HP, the enemy dies. Unless the enemy has constitution, then it will bleedout and die.
**** ExDR means explosive damage resistance, this is a percentage between 0 and 100. If this value is 100%, the part is explosive immune, meaning explosives cannot damage it.
Explosions will only directly damage Main health if it is internal.
Behavior
Lightning Spires practically function identically to A/ARC-3 Tesla Towers aside for by default being non-hostile to Illuminate forces.
Tactical Information
- Lightning Spires target any live non-Illuminate targets within 25 meters of its line of sight.
- Any Illuminate-unit caught between a Lightning Spire and non-Illuminate target will be used as a conduit for lighting-chains.
- Lightning Spires take about 1 second to charge up, after which it sends out a devastatingly powerful electrical arc at its target. This attack will instantly kill Helldivers regardless of Armor Rating.
- Helldivers with Electrical Conduit Armor will only take minor arc damage of 10 or less.
- Despite its resistance to Arc Damage, Helldivers equipped with Acclimated Light Armor will still be killed with a single arc due to the high enough damage.
- Lightning Spires can only be destroyed by explosive attacks with a Demolition force of 30 or higher. Examples include G-12 High Explosive grenade or GL-21 Grenade Launcher.
- Unlike A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower, Lightning Spires will target prone Helldivers if they move inside their range. However, the charge-up is cancelled if the targeted Helldiver immediately uses the dive-motion. Lighting Spire will then resume their targeting and fire at the Helldiver a few seconds later if the Helldiver is still within the targeting range.
Appearance
- Compared to a SEAF Tesla Tower, Lightning Spires have a more sinister, spiky appearance.
- There is also lack of visible rotating assembly or any other noticeable moving parts.
- The large ball of energy at the top will grow in size when a target enters its range.
- Lightning Spires also stand on top of a very sizable tripod which is left intact when the Spire itself is destroyed.
Trivia
- Compared to Tesla Towers of the Super Earth Armed Forces, the Illuminate Lightning Spires deal roughly third the amount of damage.
- Lightning Spires cannot be damaged in the first place whereas SEAF-variants can be torn down with claws alone. Lightning spires are considered as "non-sentient"-structures without health-pool and can only be destroyed with an explosive demolition force.
