The MS-11 Solo Silo, shortened to Solo Silo or MS-11, is an expendable Support weapon that embeds itself into the ground, extends a targeting system to be picked up, and launches the embedded missile when used.

Procurement

The MS-11 Solo Silo is unlocked on page 3 of the Dust Devils Premium Warbond for Medal.svg 110 Medals.

Tactical Information

  • The MS-11 Solo Silo is an expendable anti-tank support weapon that behaves as a guided Eagle 500kg Bomb with identical blast radius but significantly more explosion damage, being able to be used from anywhere on the map once deployed.
  • The Solo Silo's lethality is second only to the B-100 Portable Hellbomb, capable of taking out Factory Striders and Bile Titans with a direct hit to the body, or demolish bases far outside Stratagem throwing range.
  • The Solo Silo has a health value of 1,500 once embedded into the ground, and becomes unusable if destroyed.
    • Enemies do not target the Solo Silo, so it is typically only destroyed via negligence.
  • The Solo Silo's targeting system guides its missile in real time; by holding down fire key, the missile will actively follow the laser until it reaches its target or expends its 15 seconds of thruster fuel.
    • If the player releases the trigger after firing the silo, whether voluntarily or from ragdoll, the helldiver will immediately discard the laser pointer as it is rendered unusable even if the missile is still in flight.
    • It can be used to dispatch moving targets, particularly aerial ones, such as the Leviathan or Dragonroach. However, due to the missile's relatively slow travel time and manual targeting, it is best to avoid using it against especially fast enemies, like Stingrays.
  • The Solo Silo releases a moderate blast around itself when fired, which can ragdoll fellow Helldivers. It is advised to keep a distance ≥15m from the silo when launching.
  • The Solo Silo is capable of destroying Automaton Drop Ships and Illuminate Warp Ships before they deploy troops.
  • The Solo Silo can destroy any enemy spawner, including Bile Titan Bug Holes and Bulk Fabricators, and additionally Enemy Bio-Processors, Command Bunkers, Illegal Broadcast Towers, Shrieker Nests, and Spore Spewers.
    • A large amount of MS-11 Solo Silo missiles can take down an Illuminate Overship; however, this strategy is not viable outside of a full team's coordinated use of the stratagem simultaneously - it takes 4 silos to drop the shield and ~9 silos to destroy the Overship itself.
      • If the shields start to regenerate, helldivers should attack the depleted barrier using any weaponry with sufficient range before continuing.
      • Do not aim for the circular blue ports, as they are explosive immune.
  • The Solo Silo cannot take down Stratagem Jammers, Detector Towers, Illuminate Monoliths or Rogue Research Stations, as these structures require a demolition force of 50 to destroy (the silo has demo force of 40.)

Trivia

  • Game version's 1.004.001 patch notes erroneously listed a change which detailed the MS-11 Solo Silo's demolition force as being "increased from 40 to 50". This change was never implemented in game, and the note was correctly deleted 2~ hours afterward.
