The 
Meridian Black Hole is the official name of the Black Hole on Meridia. It is also referenced as the Meridian Singularity, the Meridian Anomaly and as a wormhole.
Its the first instance of Super Earth completely destroying an entire planet for war purposes.
Lore
Meridia collapsed into a black hole after the end of Operation Enduring Peace Phase 2 on June 2nd 2184 (This Major Order), following the deployment of the Dark Fluid.
After the collapse of Meridia, many Helldivers have claimed to hear strange sounds[1] coming from the black hole.
Until December 19th 2184, the black hole remained stable and unchanging. However on 19th of December Helldivers have noticed novel electromagnetic phenomena in the vicinity of the Black Hole.
On February 2nd 2185, gravitational disturbances have made travel to Meridia impossible. 2 days later Ministry of Science confirmed that the Illuminate gather Dark Energy from the galaxy, it was later discovered that Illuminate use the Dark Energy in order to accelerate the Meridian Black Hole and destroy Angel's Venture.
More than a week after it was discovered that the Illuminate were gathering Dark Energy, Meridia has reached a crtical momentum, crossed the border between the Umlaut and Orion sectors and was found on a unavoidable collision course with Angel's Venture. One day later Meridia's gravitational pull ripped apart Angel's Venture, destroying the planet and creating the first Fractured Planet POI. After this incident it was discovered that the Black Hole is heading towards multiple other planets, and most importantly - Super Earth.
On April 29th, 2185, the Center of Science confirmed that the Meridian Black Hole has come to a complete stop thanks to usage of the Repulsive Gravity Field Generator.
Dark Energy
Dark Energy is being used by the Illuminate to move the Meridian Black Hole, although the exact way of doing that is currently unknown.
What is known and observable from the Super Destroyer, is that Dark Energy appears to buildup faster whenever the Illuminate have active Invasion campaigns. The more concurrent invasions, the larger the buildup of dark energy.
Following the completion of Major Order A2-2-3, the Center of Science discovered that the energy produced by the usage of E-710 matches all known properties of Dark Energy.

Super Earth High Command would like to inform all Helldivers that investigations into reported anomalies surrounding the singularity created by the destruction of the Supercolony have concluded.
It has been determined definitively that the singularity is an ordinary black hole. Further observations of perceived anomalies should be disregarded, as the science is conclusive.
Some Helldivers may have noticed novel electromagnetic phenomena in vicinity of the Meridian Black Hole. High Command is aware of the situation, which is being closely monitored by experts in the field.
Helldivers are advised to avoid distractions and focus their full attention on repelling the Illuminate threat.
Novel anomalous phenomena has been observed in the vicinity of the Meridian Singularity. Astronomers have reported fluctuations in the event horizon and electromagnetic flares.
These developments demand further investigation. High Command has ordered the construction of a new Center of Science on Fenrir III. The Helldivers must clear the planet and nearby area of any Terminid infestation in order to facilitate its safe construction.
Increased gravitational disturbances have made travel to the Meridia Singularity unadvisable. It will be off-limits to visitation until further notice.
The Ministry of Science has confirmed the proposed link between Illuminate activity and the disappearance of large swaths of Dark Energy from our Galaxy.
With every invasion, the Illuminate appear to be siphoning off more of this exotic force. The purpose of their actions remains unknown.
By measuring spacetime fluctuations, the Ministry of Science is able to estimate how much Dark Energy is being stolen. Trackers on all Galactic Maps have been updated accordingly.
Through careful analysis of available astronomical data, the Center of Science has successfully modeled the recent fluctuations in spacetime.
Experts have long posited the existence of Dark Energy, a repulsive force permeating the universe and accelerating its expansion. By simulating sudden localized Dark Energy loss, the Center has been able to model spacetime fluctuations.
The Center is currently exploring how this model maps onto recent Illuminate activity.
The Meridian Singularity has reached critical momentum. It can no longer be slowed down enough to avoid collision with Angel's Venture. Angel's Venture can no longer be saved. Evacuation of high-priority citizens is underway.
Despite the appearance of the Predator Strain, the Terminid wave has shattered against the Helldiver breakwater. The researchers at the Center of Science are safe. These researchers have made a startling discovery: the energy produced by E-710 combustion matches all known properties of Dark Energy. Studying E-710, then, could help us understand Dark Energy—and the means by which the Illuminate are moving the Meridian Singularity.
Moradesh has been torn apart by the Meridian Singularity. Over 95% of its Class C or higher citizens were safely evacuated prior to the planets' destruction.
In memoriam, 24-hour period of quiet reflection on the nature of vengeance has been ordered by the Ministry of Humanity.
The underhanded Illuminate scheme to destroy Super Earth has been foiled, thanks to the irrepressible might of the Helldivers. The Illuminate-created spacetime aberration known as the Meridian Singularity has been de-energized to the point where Super Earth is now safely out of its accurately-predicted path.
The fight is not over. Many planets remain imperiled, as the Singularity presses onward. It is only a matter of time before the loyal citizens of those endangered planets must watch as tidal forces tear apart their homes. And constant vigilance will be needed to ensure the Illuminate do not accumulate enough Dark Energy to once again threaten Super Earth. But for now, our citizens can celebrate a hard-earned victory: Super Earth is safe.
Ivis has been destroyed by the Meridian Singularity. The destroyed planet joins Moradesh and Angel's Venture amongst the Illuminate's celestial murders.
Efforts to slow the Singularity have worked, but too late to save Ivis. The Illuminate will face Justice for their crimes.
Dauntless efforts by the Helldivers fell short of mission targets. But the righteousness of our cause has yielded an unequivocal victory nevertheless.
Though construction of the Repulsive Gravity Field Generator did not meet all design metrics, the bold action was taken to activate the device in its mostly-completed state. Center of Science projections confirm that the Meridian Wormhole will slow to a complete halt in short order. Furthermore, all Illuminate incursions have abruptly ended, and the enemy has disappeared. The victory of Managed Democracy is undeniable. The Repulsive Gravity Field Generator also suffered what some have called a "catastrophic implosion." The staff members lost in the implosion will be remembered as heroes, and the resultant crater will be converted into a heartfelt, stirring memorial. Search and scanning efforts are underway to locate any remaining Illuminate and eradicate them once more. For now, citizens of Nublaria and all others in the Wormhole's path can breathe a sigh of relief: they are safe, thanks to the Helldivers
