Purge Illuminate

Purge Illuminate is an Illuminate Optional Objective. To complete the objective Helldivers must kill a designated number of Overseers.

Objective Steps

  • The targeted amount of overseers changes depending on the Difficulty

Tactical Information

• The Optional Objective will be active right away when the mission starts, and counts all Overseer kills made by all players.
• Weapons that deal area-of-effect damage are highly effective against Overseers, able to bypass both their deployable shield and the full-body suit of armor they wear.

• Overseers cover the weakest part of their body - the head - with an armored helmet. High damage armor-penetrating weapons can destroy their head in a single shot.
  • Examples include the P-4 Senator, APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle, and RS-422 Railgun.
• The Overseer's shield is not large enough to cover its legs, allowing Helldivers to continue dealing damage to it while the shield is active.
