Weapon Recoil
In Helldivers 2, most weapons have recoil - the kick received by the crosshair with each shot. With each shot, the crosshair and player camera is kicked upwards, and the crosshair is additionally randomly kicked to the left or right.

The recoil modifiers for shooting from the hip - without aiming at all - are unknown, but it's clear the recoil is significantly increased.
It's currently unclear if - some? - weapons have their own recoil modifiers for shooting in third and first person, but it does feel like some weapons have less recoil in first person.
Armor Passives
Engineering Kit and Fortified reduce weapon recoil by 30%. The in-game description incorrectly states that the recoil reduction is applied only while crouched prone. In actuality, the recoil reduction is applied across all stances.
