Recover Scientific Specimen is an Optional Objective that can appear on Hive Worlds. It tasks Helldivers with retrieving and extracting with a lost scientific specimen container.

Objective Steps

• Collect Specimen Case
  • Like an SSSD, Helldivers will carry the Specimen Case with one hand, restricting them to One-Handed weapons.
• (If the Specimen Case is dropped) Recover the Dropped Specimen Case
• Extract With Specimen Vessel

Tactical Information

• The Specimen Vessel can be found by viewing the map.
  • The specific location of the Specimen Vessel is obscured, similar to the Poor Intel mission modifier.
• The Specimen Vessel will be guarded by several Terminids as well as a few Bug Holes.

Trivia

• Recover Scientific Specimen is functionally identical to the Recover SSSD Optional Objective, also present on Hive Worlds. The only difference is the appearance of the case.
