Reinforced Scout Strider

From Helldivers Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Reinforced Scout Strider is an upgraded, deadlier Scout Strider, replacing its Trooper pilot with automated controls and four heavy rockets to accompany its Fusion Repeater.

Spawning

Reinforced Scout Striders are first found on Impossible Difficulty Icon.pngImpossible, replacing Scout Striders. Reinforced Scout Striders can spawn from Bot Drops, within patrols, and guarding Automaton Outposts, Objectives, and Minor Places of Interest.

Behavior

Reinforced Scout Striders will quickly approach Helldivers once alerted to their presence. It will fire its fusion repeater three times before cooling down for four seconds. It will also occasionally fire one of its four rockets, usually after being alerted to a Helldiver's presence. The Reinforced Scout Strider can stomp on a Helldiver if they get too close.

Tactical Information

  • The Reinforced Scout Strider's rockets are extremely deadly to Helldivers. The explosion radius of the rockets is large and can launch Helldivers with enough force to kill them on nearby terrain.
    • Helldivers can tell when a Reinforced Scout Strider is about to fire a rocket as fire will shoot out the pack before it launches toward its target.
  • When wearing Heavy Armor with the Fortified armor passive, a healthy Helldiver can survive a direct rocket hit. The impact, however, will still launch the victim with potentially-lethal force.
  • The Reinforced Scout Strider is vulnerable to Armor AP3 Icon.png Medium armor penetrating weaponry like the R-63CS Diligence Counter Sniper if it is shot at its waist or legs.
  • If a Helldiver does not have Armor AP3 Icon.png Medium armor penetrating weaponry, shooting its rockets with Armor AP2 Icon.png Light armor penetrating weapons at its side can cause an explosion, instantly destroying the Reinforced Scout Strider. Most grenades like the G-16 Impact, G-12 High Explosive and G-50 Seeker can also instantly kill a Reinforced Scout Strider from any angle.
  • The RS-422 Railgun is especially effective against the Reinforced Scout Strider, as even a single Safe mode shot can destroy the Strider in one hit to the faceplate.
  • A G-16 Impact to its legs or waist will instantly kill it.

* Parts with their HP listed as "Main" do not have their own individual health. All damage dealt to these parts is transferred to the enemy's Main health pool.
** Refer to armor values and enemy durability as defined in Damage.
*** The percentage of damage that is applied to the enemy's Main health pool. At 0 HP, the enemy dies. Unless the enemy has constitution, then it will bleedout and die.
**** ExDR means explosive damage resistance, this is a percentage between 0 and 100. If this value is 100%, the part is explosive immune, meaning explosives cannot damage it. Explosions will only directly damage Main health if it is internal.
