The Overship is the command-and-control nexus of Illuminate forces in this sector. Its oppressive presence must be destroyed.

A Planetary Defense Cannon in this area can penetrate its shields. Activate the Cannon and use it to bring down the Overship.

Take Down Overship is a Story Mission exclusive to the defense of Super Earth, which tasks Helldivers with retrieving various items in order to operate and fire an Planetary Defense Cannon capable of eliminating the Illuminate Overship.

Objective Steps

Retrieve Access Codes

  • Find the hard disk containing the Access Codes.
    • Helldivers must go to the Priority Emergency Bunkers then figure out which door is the correct one by opening them and then retrieving the Access Codes from the shelves inside. It is distinguished by a gray-ish rectangular appearance with a purple circle, identical to the appearance of Access Codes in Launch ICBM missions. It emits a constant sound of static and morse code, getting louder the closer the Helldiver is to the Disk containing the Codes.

Take Down Overship

  • Activate terminal
    • Helldivers must interact with the terminal to activate it.
  • Input Access Codes: (Access Codes")
    • Helldivers must interact with the terminal if not already, then use the directional keys to flip the 5 digit containers to the correct number displayed in the objective step.
  • Manually disengage the silo bunker locks
    • Helldivers must go down to the hatch and manually release both locks by interacting with each one.
  • Use terminal to open bunker hatch
    • Helldivers must interact with the terminal if not already, then using the up direction command the terminal to open the hatch.
  • Use terminal to raise Planetary Defense Cannon
    • Use directional inputs to activate the lift, then it takes 60 seconds for the Planetary Defense Cannon to be fully raised into firing position.
  • Aim the Planetary Defense Cannon
    • Helldivers must aim the Cannon with an elevation and horizontal control located inside the cannon.
      • Aiming the Cannon at the Vent closest to the cannon will down the Overship in one shot.
  • Use the Cannon to shoot down the Overship
    • Helldivers must finally interact with the terminal, then use the up direction to trigger the 5 second countdown until it fires.
      • If the Helldivers doesn't aim the Cannon, it will just shoot straight into a building.

Trivia

  • Unlike other objectives, the steps on terminal for the Orbital Cannon can be repeated multiple times before being locked out. This is due to the main objective being tied to the destruction of the Overship, which needs multiple cannon shots before being destroyed.
