Medals are a currency used in Helldivers 2 and are used for unlocking content inside Warbonds.
Procurement
Medals can be found on any difficulty in multiple different ways.
The following methods can be used to obtain medals:
- 1-3 medals will be collected per Medal Case from various Minor Places of Interest inside Pods, Containers, and Bunkers.
- Medals collected in this manner will be instantly put into every present Helldiver's account upon pickup. Mission completion is not required to gain these medals.
- 1-14 from completing Missions based on the difficulty selected.
- 15 from completing the Personal Daily Order
- 35-50 from completing Major Orders
Tactical Information
- Special Loot containers are more likely to be found on difficulties
Trivial through 
Medium, since their spawns are not taken up by Rare Samples in those difficulties. - The maximum amount that any one Helldiver can have in their account is
250 Medals.
- Any medals earned beyond this number are discarded.
