In Helldivers 2, players can equip different armor sets before deploying on missions. Body armors offer unique passives and stats that can affect gameplay, allowing players to customize their loadout to suit their playstyle. Helldivers can acquire armor sets by purchasing them from the Superstore using Super Credits or by unlocking them through Warbonds by spending Medals.
Body Armors
Body Armors are classified into three categories: light, medium, and heavy. Light offers minimal protection but allows for greater speed and mobility. Medium provides a balance between protection and mobility. Heavy offers maximum protection but limits the Helldiver's mobility.
Helmets
Each body armor has an associated helmet. All helmets have a default value of 100 for armor, speed, and stamina. If a body's armor rating exceeds 100, the wearer will take less head damage as well.
Armor Stats
Armor sets in Helldivers 2 have three primary stats:
- Armor Rating: Represents the armor's ability to absorb damage.
- Speed: Determines how quickly the player can move across the battlefield.
- Stamina Regen: Affects the regeneration of stamina, which is used when sprinting and performing other strenuous actions.
Speed and Stamina Regen are calculated based on the raw Armor Rating stat, before factoring in Extra Padding, using the following formulas:
- Speed = 500 − (Armor Rating − 100)
- Stamina Regen = 100 − (Armor Rating − 100) if Armor Rating > 100
- Stamina Regen = 100 − (Armor Rating − 100) / 2 if Armor Rating < 100
