Matar Bay is a Plains Planet in Helldivers 2, located within the Andromeda Sector. It is currently under 
Automaton Legion control.
Lore
Cut Through the Andromeda Sector
In order to split the Automaton forces in half at the Andromeda Sector. the Helldivers were ordered to liberate several planets, namely Matar Bay. The Major Order was a success, liberating the planet and splitting the Automaton forces in half.
Stop the Jet Brigade
Massive amounts of Automaton warships would be detected in the atmosphere of Matar Bay, with multiple SEAF bases falling shortly after. This invasion fleet would contain the first appearance of the Jet Brigade, who would lead the invasion of the planet. Intel would reveal that the invasion was a brute force effort to discover the location of the DSS project, and thus Helldivers were ordered to hold onto the planet.
However, despite their best efforts, the planet would be taken by the Automaton Legion, at the cost of the Jet Brigade sustaining heavy losses.
High-Priority Objectives
In order to limit Automaton territorial expansion, Helldivers were ordered to liberate Matar Bay.
