The Polaris System is assumed to be named after the North Star, Polaris. Despite being part of the Ursa Major constellation, it is interestingly not part of the Ursa Sector, and is instead in the neighboring Farsight Sector. Polaris Prime is believed to be the first planet orbiting its star, Polaris.
