Acamar IV is a Plains Planet in Helldivers 2, located within the Jin Xi Sector. It is currently under Super Earth Icon.svg Super Earth Federation control. The planet was once home to a Terminid Research Preserve used by the Xenoentomology Center on Turing.

Acamar IV was home to a sparse amount of colonial outposts, established by the Ministry of Expansion for long-term colonization.

Acamar IV remained untouched by the early stages of the Second Galactic War until May 2024, when spores from the recently formed Meridian Supercolony caused a massive Terminid outbreak on the planet.

Liberation of the Falstaff and Jin Xi Sectors

Soon after the destruction of Terminid nurseries in the Mirin and Draco sectors, the Terminids suddenly attacked numerous planets located within the Falstaff and Jin Xi Sectors. Super Earth High Command theorized that the attack was indeed due to the destruction of Terminid nurseries, but Super Earth's "top behavioral analysts" connected it to a simple mutation causing their sudden need for expansion.

High Command ordered the Helldivers to retain control of Acamar IV, Bore Rock, Erson Sands, Pandion-XXIV, and Phact Bay, as these planets held colonial outposts, important to expanding Super Earth's future presence in the galaxy.

The Helldivers would successfully retain Super Earth's control over the planets, despite sudden Terminid outbreaks taking High Command by surprise. The outbreaks in Jin Xi in particular were noted to likely have originated from "abnormally large spore dispersals" from the destruction of the nurseries.

The Democracy Space Station

To complement the Xenoentomology Center established on neighbouring Turing, all of Acamar IVs neighbors would be liberated, quarantining the planet to allow for a "Terminid Research Preserve" to be established. This would serve not only as a way to research live Terminid behaviour, but also to harvest mass amounts of E-710.

Uniquely, a small section of the preserve would be dedicated to Tyranny Park, an attraction which would let certain citizens of Super Earth observe Terminids or even engage in hunting. The purpose of this is to gather funds for more E-710 and Terminid research, but also serves to "deepen our citizen´s understanding of the horrors of Tyranny".

Thanks to the gallant efforts of the Helldivers, Gacrux, Pandion-XXIV, Darius II and Crimsica were liberated or defended, and the Preserve established.

Terminid Research Preserve Containment Failure

Despite numerous attempts to establish a defense perimeter around the Terminid Research Preserve, enough Terminid spores would eventually reach the planet to stage a breakout. Immense hives burst from beneath Tyranny Park, causing total loss of Super Earth control over the planet and launching Terminid invasions onto all neighboring planets once encompassing the defense perimeter.

All but the Xenoentomology Center would fall to the Terminids. Simultaneously, the DSS construction site on Gaellivare had been threatened by the Automaton Jet Brigade, rendering containment operations a lesser priority.

While Acamar IV was eventually liberated, nothing remains of the Terminid Research Preserve. Pandion-XXIV and Gacrux have remained Terminid strongholds ever since.
