Armor Passives
Overview
Armor passives are special bonuses or effects that are unique to specific armor sets in the game. These passives provide additional benefits to the player when wearing the corresponding armor, enhancing their gameplay experience. Some passives offer improved combat capabilities, such as increased resistance to certain types of damage or recoil reduction, while others provide utility enhancements, like increased inventory capacity or advanced scouting abilities.
Each armor passive is designed to cater to different playstyles, allowing players to choose an armor set that complements their preferred tactics and strategies.
Armor Passives
Democracy Protects
Description: "50%" chance to not die when taking lethal damage. Prevents all damage from bleeding if chest hemorrhages. Note:
Damage that's done over time does not trigger the 50% chance to not die. These sources are bleeding, Fire damage, and standing in spiked plants as well as their explosion.
Electrical Conduit
Provides 95% resistance to Arc damage.
Notes:
- Sources of Arc damage are: ARC-12 Blitzer, ARC-3 Arc Thrower and A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower.
- Neither Automatons nor Terminids deal Arc damage.
Engineering Kit
Further reduces recoil when crouching or prone by "30%". Increases initial inventory and holding capacity of grenades by "+2".
Notes:
- Without the Hellpod Space Optimization booster, you will be deployed with 5/6 grenades and with the booster, you will be maxed out at 6/6.
- It reduces vertical recoil reduction but not the horizontal recoil.
- Does not affect weapon sway when standing still.
- Does not affect prone recoil reduction.
- It does provide recoil reduction when standing, which is not stipulated in the description. This reduction in recoil is equal to the default crouching recoil reduction.
Recoil reduction summary:
- Permanent flat 30% recoil reduction at all times even while standing.
- It stacks with the recoil reduction from crouch and prone, which is 30% and 60% respectively.
- 90% reduction while prone.
Extra Padding
Game description: "Provides a higher armor rating."
Analysis: Provides 50 additional armor rating without reducing speed and stamina.
Fortified
Further reduces recoil when crouching or prone by 30%. Provides 50% resistance to explosive damage. Note: See #Engineering Kit for recoil rundown.
Med-Kit
Increases initial inventory and holding capacity of stims by "+2". Increases stim effect duration by "2.0s".
Scout
Markers placed on the map will generate radar scans every "2.0s". Reduces range at which enemies can detect the wearer by "30%".
Servo-Assisted
Increases throwing range by "30%". Provides "+50%" limb health.
Standard Issue
No additional bonuses.
