Lore
Stop Automaton Territorial Expansion
Imber would become the primary subject of High Command's Major Orders when communications were intercepted that indicated the Automatons were targeting a large repository of Titanium upon the planet. It was suspected that the Automatons were seeking to acquire these resources to construct an enhanced strike force.
The operation began with two simultaneous attacks from the Automatons, launching assaults against Shelt and Gaellivare. While Shelt would be held, the Automatons would claim Gaellivare and Vog-Sojoth.
When the toaster menace finally came to Imber, however, they were met by Helldiver defenders who rapidly expunged them from the planet. Further attacks from the Automatons continued, attempting to cut Helldivers off from reinforcements, but their attempts were futile. A second offensive was launched upon Imber only days later and once again the Automaton threat was met by the patriotic defense of Helldivers who succeeded once more.
Following these victories, High Command declared the Major Order a success. Imber's titanium repositories would continue to serve Super Earth's citizens, providing continued job security and workplace safety thanks to the sacrifices made by the Helldivers.
Reclaim Planets with the DSS
Due to the recent liberation of Gaellivare, the Jet Brigade would become trapped on Imber without a escape route. With the Autocannon Support Weapon being granted to all Helldivers that were on the planet, the Jet Brigade was destroyed, thus delivering vengeance to the millions of innocents that were killed by them.
Terrain
Set under a ceaseless sun, Imber earns its name from its scorchingly high temperatures due to the distance to its home star. On the surface, Imber's surface is but ash with scorched rocks dividing the vast landscape. Burnt trees can be found as the sun blindingly beams into the eyes of anyone who is caught out in the open.
High winds splice across the planet. As night falls, the temperatures drop significantly, leading to these winds carrying the fridged temperatures to the hotter climates where the sun hits. This leads to periods where the atmosphere ignites as the intense heat and cold clash, creating tornados of fire that sweep across the land. When the ashes finally settle, what rare flora there is that survives on this planet begins to regrow, until it is once again baked alive.
