Lesath
Lesath is a Boneyard Planet in Helldivers 2, located within the Lacaille Sector. It is currently under 
Automaton Legion control.
Lore
Pre-Reclamation
Lesath was largely unaffected by the fires of the Second Galactic War for a period of time. That was until the Automaton Reclamation campaign, which saw the world threatened as never before in the past 100 years since conflict with the Cyborgs in this region of space.
Opening paths into the Tanis, Talus and Lacaille sectors, Lesath is a key battleground of the Automaton front.
The Reclamation & The Menkent Line
While Operation Swift Disassembly saw the Automatons expelled from the galaxy, that force turned out to be but a vanguard of the greater Automaton war machine. Lesath would fall to the Automatons as part of their Reclamation push into the Hydra and Lacaille sectors.
Reeling from the territorial loss, Super Earth High Command devised the Menkent Line, intended to act as a stop gap for future Automaton aggression. A joint defensive platform of Menkent and Lesath, it would be bolstered by SEAF troops and orbital defense networks. Both Menkent and Lesath would be liberated and construction of the Menkent Line would begin.
The Automatons would attempt to leverage Marfark as a way to side-step the logistical cutoff posed by the Menkent Line. This threat would be mediated even despite the full scale deployment of the Factory Strider. The Menkent Line would appear to function as intended, styming further loss of territory.
Menkent Line Fails
This status quo would unfortunately only persist for a single week. Menkent would fall under attack as the Automatons and Terminids unleashed attacks on both fronts. Despite the alleged bolstering of its defensive capabilities, SEAF ground forces were unable to hold back the bot onslaught while Helldiver forces were split across many planets.
Menkent would fall first, with Lesath following several days later. However, unlike Menkent, Lesath would see some degree of Super Earth success in months to come, remaining hotly contested for its vast supply lines.
Safeguarding the DSS
Lesath would notably be liberated by the Helldivers so as to create a buffer zone for the Democracy Space Station, still under construction in Gaellivare orbit at the time. Despite fervent opposition by the bots, the planet would return to Super Earth control, disallowing a push from Lesath directly to Gaellivare.
Later, as the DSS fell under siege by the Jet Brigade contingents of SEAF forces from Lesath would valiantly gain ground on Mastia. Grateful for the liberation of their homes, they would lay down their lives to enable the defense and later liberation of the staging ground of the bots' DSS offensive. Despite this effort, Mastia would remain in Automaton control for some time to come as focus of the battle shifted to Gaellivare itself.
Lesath itself would eventually fall to the bots yet again, now providing a vanguard against further pushes into the Lacaille sector.
Terrain
One of four planets located in the Lacaille Sector, Lesath is a frozen tundra world with rocky terrain and scarce plant life. Steep cliffs and jagged rocks are separated by large open fields of snow, while water remains frozen under ice lakes and freezing rivers. Amongst the vast fields are colossal frozen bones from creatures of a bygone era, left as a reminder of the ancient past of this world.
Sunlight struggles to breach through the frozen atmosphere of Lesath, with sunsets give way to a hue of orange until the sun sets over the horizon, returning the cold bleak environment to its natural white and grey color.
Between the rocky landscape Stasis Flowers grow, where upon contact they release a freezing field that locks all matter in place until dissipating.
