Turing
Turing is a Ethereal Jungle Planet in Helldivers 2, located within the Umlaut Sector. It is currently under 
Super Earth Federation control.
Lore
Operation Valiant Enclosure
Turing, alongside Meridia, Erata Prime and Fenrir III, was chosen as a Barrier Planet that would host the Terminid Control System, an ambitious project aimed at preventing the spread of the Terminids to other worlds. The Helldivers would successfully activate Turing's TCS Towers on 2184-03-14.
Deactivation of the Terminid Control System
However, the TCS suffered a catastrophic failure in late April, when the Terminids developed a resistance to the Termicide, and all of the barrier worlds became overrun with Terminids, with Meridia mutating into the Supercolony. The Helldivers were tasked with shutting down the TCS on the remaining Barrier Planets, which was ultimately successful.
Operation Enduring Peace
In order to end the threat of the Meridia Supercolony, Super Earth High Command enacted Operation Enduring Peace, a plan to decisively destroy the supercolony. In Phase I of the operation, Fenrir III, Angel's Venture and Turing would need to be liberated and/or secured as staging grounds to directly assault Meridia. The operation was ultimately successful, and during Phase II Meridia was collapsed into a black hole.
Supercolony Cleanup
Following the collapse of the supercolony, Helldivers were tasked with reclaiming the worlds that fell to outbreaks. The targets of this wave of liberation were Erata Prime, Turing (which fell four hours before the destruction of Meridia), Acamar IV and Phact Bay.
The Democracy Space Station
In the wake of the discovery of schematics for the Democracy Space Station, major construction, infrastructure and research projects would need to be enacted in order to allow the DSS to be built. During Phase I of the construction project, a Xenoentomology Center would need to be constructed in order to research new High-Efficiency Alcubierre Drives that would be capable of moving the DSS. Turing was chosen as the site for the Center's construction, and as such the planet was held against the face of Terminid outbreaks.
In order to fuel the Democracy Space Station, Helldivers were ordered to establish the Terminid Research Preserve on the adjacent planet Acamar IV. A perimeter around the Terminid Research Preserve would also need to be established, necessitating the liberation and holding of not only Turing and Acamar IV, but also Crimsica, Darius II, Pandion-XXIV and Gacrux.
As the DSS entered its final stages of construction, the Terminid Research Preserve suffered a catastrophic outbreak as a result of previous perimeter breaches, and all of the perimeter planets fell under attack from Terminid spores. Because of the critical research data possessed by the Xenoentomology Center, the Helldivers prioritized protecting the planet from attack, even in the face of simultaneous attacks from the Jet Brigade, and were ultimately successful.
The Gloom Front
The Xenoentomology Center would prove critical in the fight against the Gloom. The Center would be able to detect a major spore outbreak event, giving Helldivers the forewarning needed to contain the outbreak. Later, it would also discover critical findings related to Samples on Gloom-adjacent planets, necessitating the collection of Samples from Erata Prime and Gacrux to develop Gloom-resistant technology.
The Illuminate Sabotage Campaign and The Outbreak of Predator Strain
On April 24th 2185 during the Major Order A2-4-4, The Xenoentomology Center was significantly damaged by the Illuminate, resulting in an outbreak of mutated specimens that had been kept securely under study. As a result, Turing became under attack and eventually overrun by the Predator Strain.
