Lore
Database One
Vega Bay was a key planet in the Major Order to capture and secure Database One, an Automaton Data Center on Wasat with critical Automaton intel. Super Earth High Command recommended to Helldivers that the shortest route to Wasat was through Wezen, then Vega Bay.
Automaton Orbital Cannons
Vega Bay was one of the planets where Automatons began to operate their new Orbital Cannons, in an attempt to attack SEAF Air Forces, causing extended extraction times. Helldivers were issued a Major Order to liberate the planets with Orbital Cannons and were provided with a new mission to destroy them.
Despite their valiant efforts, the Helldivers were unable to liberate all designated planets, allowing the Automatons to claim back a significant amount of galactic territory, along with establishing the Orbital Cannons across it.
