Fenrir III
Fenrir III is a Moon Planet in Helldivers 2, located within the Umlaut Sector. It is currently under 
Super Earth Federation control.
Lore
Operation Valiant Enclosure
Located in the epicenter of the Terminid front in the early days of the war, Fenrir III changed hands numerous times until it was selected as a Barrier Planet alongside Erata Prime, Meridia and Turing for the deployment of the Terminid Control System. The system was deployed in Phase III of Operation Valiant Enclosure.
The Meridia Supercolony and Operation Enduring Peace
However, due to unforeseen Terminid mutations from the TCS's Termicide, Helldivers were ordered to deactivate the system. While the TCS was successfully disabled, the planet along with many nearby others would be lost in the extreme spore outbreaks from the Merida Supercolony. In order to deal with the threat once and for all, Operation Enduring Peace was enacted: In Phase I of the operation, Fenrir III, Angel's Venture and Turing would be taken to secure a route to Meridia. Once successfully secured, the planets were used as staging grounds to deploy the Dark Fluid onto Meridia itself, destroying the infestation once and for all.
Return of the Illuminate and the Meridia Singularity
As the Meridia Singularity began to exhibit unusual electromagnetic phenomena shortly after the re-emergence of the Illuminate, Fenrir III was chosen as the site of a new Center of Science, owing to its proximity to the Singularity. As part of the Major Order, Fenrir III and its neighboring planet Erata Prime were required to be liberated from Terminid infestation.
The Gloom Front
The planet's proximity to the Gloom would make it a frontline planet against spore outbreaks. While the Xenoentomology Center on Turing would be the main research hub against the Gloom, the two planets' proximity to one another would ensure that Gloom-related operations would inevitably affect Fenrir III, as was the case when samples needed to be collected from Gloom-adjacent planets.
Predator Strain
A new strain of Terminids was first encountered on Fenrir III. The Predator strain is a gloom-enchanced strain of Terminids, consisting of Predator Stalkers and Predator Hunters.
Several SEAF units were ambushed by the Predators on Fenrir III, and none have returned from close encounters with them, putting the Science Center at a great risk.
Terrain
Its general landscape consists of subzero temperatures and open lands peppered with large craters.

Trivia
- The Fenrir system is assumed to be named after a powerful wolf from Nordic mythology. Fenrir was foretold to assist in Ragnarok, or the end of the world, and kill the god Odin. Fenrir III is the third planet from the star Fenrir.
- During the Meridia Supercolony incident, there was a period of time when the liberation of Fenrir III and Acamar IV appeared to remain stuck at 50% while worlds where owned by Super Earth. The cause for this was unknown.
Change History
- Lighting on Fenrir III has been adjusted to be a bit less bright to improve visibility during meteor showers.
