When mortally wounded, Helldivers with an Autoinjector only need several taps of the button to get back on their feet.

Without an Autoinjector, Helldivers automatically recover from non-fatal damage in about 36 seconds. The MD-99 reduces this to 6 seconds—a sixfold increase.

MD-99 Autoinjector while equipped can save the owner from getting downed by the fire status. Only works if the Helldiver is at full health and nothing will damage him instead of fire.
