Swap standard grenades for smoke grenades that block line of sight for all enemies. Smoke cloud lasts approx. 15 seconds.
Unlock Requirement
The Smoke Grenades unlock at rank 15 (Colonel).

Gameplay Tips
- Enemies will get closer before firing at the player. Cyborg Comrades will close to melee range, while Hounds will not run at a player concealed by smoke, but instead walk (much the same as if the player was equipped with the SH-20 Shield Generator Pack).
- Illuminate Hunters won't be able to target you through the smoke.
- The Thunderer Smoke Round can also be used for concealment purposes and does not require ammunition or a Perk slot.
Notes
- Grenade Perks now display correct icons of current grenades when chosen during the mission, this was added in Patch 7.01.
