Rank is a measure of a Helldiver's experience in the field. After gaining the required amount of experience from missions on enemy planets, a Helldiver will advance in rank, possibly unlocking new Weapons, Perks or Armor. Each promotion grants a free research point.

• Ranks 31-50 were added with the Democracy Strikes Back expansion. (October 26, 2015)
• Players have the ability to reset their rank or unlocks on the steam version of Helldivers.

Trivia

In the Chinese allocations of Helldivers, the skull imagery has been altered. All of the rank icons with a skull in their design have had it replaced with a Helldiver's helmet.
