Tactics
- Predominately found on low to medium level planets, Observers patrol the battlefield while cloaked, following semi-random patterns while searching for Helldivers. Their patrols are more densely clustered around mission objectives and they are also attracted to Stratagem Beacons.
- After spotting Helldiver troops, Observers will de-cloak and quickly raise an alarm to call for support from more powerful Illuminate units. As Observers have no offensive capabilities they normally re-activate their cloaking system after raising an alarm and seek to avoid conflict.
- A melee attack or single shot from any conventional weapon can very easily destroy Observers. However, their cloaking ability and small size means Helldivers must be alert and accurate when fighting Illuminate forces.
- While their cloak makes Observers hard to spot, they emit a characteristic beeping sound when close, which should notify players of their presence.
- Observers will stay at a distance from divers after they have raised an alarm and will reactivate their cloak. If the diver moves towards them they will retreat further, making them difficult to reach with melee in this state, although they will not be quick in sounding another alarm.
