In this region, orbital bombardment has exposed seams of what appear to be rare and valuable mineral ores.
We cannot let the Automatons exploit them before the planet is liberated. Get down there and collect soil sample data, to confirm if the material is worth extracting.

Conduct Geological Survey is a Mission in Helldivers 2. To complete it, Helldivers must locate and verify the presence of ores on the planet.

Objective Steps

Verify Ore Vein Location

“

The Seismic Probe in this location can be used to confirm the likely locations of sub-surface geological features.

— Briefing Description

There are two sub-objectives on Extreme difficulty and higher.

• Arrive at designated sub-objective marker to verify ore vein location(s)
• Use Seismic Probe Stratagem
  • 
• Log in to probe interface
  • On the terminal, press the directional inputs to login, which will take five seconds. Logging in will also cause Bug Breaches or Bot Drops to occur nearby. Enemy amount and type increases based on difficulty.
• Confirm scan area using probe interface
  • On the terminal, adjust the marker to the designated coordinates seen on the right of the grid.
• Priming Seismic Probe
  • Helldivers must wait 15 seconds for the Seismic Probe to prime.
• Activate the Seismic Scan
  • On the terminal, press to complete the sub-objective.

Acquire Soil Scan Data

The Prospecting Drill in this location can extract sediment cores, analyze their composition, and upload the generated data.

— Briefing Description

• Arrive at ore vein location to acquire soil scan data
• Use Prospecting Drill Stratagem
  • 
• Activate Prospecting Drill
  • On the terminal, press the directional inputs and wait five seconds for the depth confirmation.
• Confirm depth using drill interface
  • On the terminal, adjust the marker to the designated coordinates seen on the right of the grid.
• Use Prospecting Drill to retrieve the first sample
  • On the terminal, press to activate the drill.
• Collecting sample
  • Helldivers will need to wait 25 seconds for sample collection. The sample collection will also cause Bug Breaches or Bot Drops to occur nearby. Enemy amount and type increases based on difficulty.
• Use Prospecting Drill to retrieve the second sample, final sample
  • Helldivers will need to repeat the sample collection process two more times.
• Upload sample data using drill interface
  • On the terminal, press on each of the three samples to upload them.
• Mission Completed: Acquire Soil Scan Data
  • Helldivers are rewarded with 500 Requisition and 100 Experience at the end of the mission.
