The Mortar Emplacement is an Optional Objective contained within an Automaton outpost. It attempts to shoot at enemy targets within range. To complete the Objective, Helldivers must destroy the Mortar Emplacements. It can spawn with Automaton Fabricators ammo, and Samples around it.

Objective Steps

• Destroy Automaton Mortar emplacements
  • Helldivers may use Eagle, Orbital or SEAF Artillery; such as Eagle Airstrikes, Orbital Precision Strike, a Hellbomb or any light vehicle armor penetrating support weapon such as the AC-8 Autocannon to destroy the emplacements.
• Reward: 200 Requisition, 50 Experience

Tactical Information

• The Mortar Emplacement will only fire at enemy targets within 150m but further away than 20m.
• When a Mortar Emplacement is firing at you, Mission Control will warn you with a voiceline: "Warning: you are in range of enemy artillery!"
• The mortar shells comes with bright red trails when traveling in the air. Players can look to the sky to determine the direction and location of the Mortar Emplacement.
