The Bile Spitter is a small Terminid that can be found on Easy difficulty and higher. They appear to be juvenile Bile Spewers.
They usually appear in swarms of other Bile Spitters, Scavengers, and Pouncers.
Behavior
- Bile Spitters will attempt to shoot a small ball of bile at Helldivers from short range. This bile will slow the Helldiver, and cause mild damage over time as the bile eats away at them.
- Bile Spitters will approach Helldivers in as direct a path as possible, climbing over terrain and obstacles in an attempt to get in range for their bile attack.
- Bile Spitters are able to release a cloud of pheromones into the air that causes a Bug Breach.
Tactics
- Due to their low health, Bile Spitters can easily be dispatched by any weapon. Using the Guard Dog or explosives is effective against swarms of Bile Spitters.
- Bile Spitters will rupture and explode when killed, dealing mild damage to nearby creatures. As such, prefer killing them from range if possible.
- If you get hit by a Bile Spitter's projectile attack, dive! This will immediately clear the slowing effect.
- Killing a Bile Spitter near other Spitters can sometimes cause a chain reaction of Bile Spitter explosions.

- The acid effect applied by Bile Spitters and other Terminids now allows you to sprint while under the effect.
- Acid now slows you by 30% instead of 50%.
- Acid duration increased from 3 seconds to 4 seconds.
