A laser pistol that fires a continuous beam. Does not require ammo but can overheat and need to change batteries.

The LAS-7 Dagger is an Energy-Based laser pistol with infinite ammo. The only limitation of this is heat buildup in the gun. The weapon comes with 3 reserve heatsinks, but with good heat management, Helldivers should never run out of ammo. Due to its reliance on a heatsink to rapidly dissipate the immense heat buildup caused by firing the weapon, it can be fired less often on hot planets and more often on cold planets.

The Dagger is unlocked on the 3rd page of the Cutting Edge Premium Warbond for Medal.svg 60 Medals.

Tactical Information

  • The One Handed trait means it can be used while holding items like the SSSD Hard Drive or the Ballistic Shield
  • The cooldown is shorter on cold planets at ~6 seconds, and longer on hot planets at ~11 seconds.
  • This can be an excellent utility weapon to quickly remove Environmental Hazards from a considerable distance. Any contact with the beam will detonate automaton (or helldiver) mines and destroy various hazardous flora, allowing the user to sweep their crosshair across a problem area and avoid an embarrassing accident later.
  • While the low burst damage compared to other sidearms can make it struggle against more than a handful of enemies at a time in most cases, it is devastatingly effective against Assault Raiders, quickly detonating their jump pack if the beam even briefly grazes it. An entire squad of Assault Raiders can be turned to scrap in the blink of an eye by sweeping the beam across them, and they can even be shot out of the air with relative ease thanks to the sidearm's quick handling and the instant nature of the laser beam.
