Tactical Information

  • Helldivers can change the fire mode to semi in order to conserve ammo.
  • Even in first-person mode, the high fire rate makes managing the recoil somewhat difficult. Firing in short bursts is recommend to land more of your shots.
  • The One Handed trait means that the Redeemer can be used while holding items like the SSSD Hard Drive or while using the Ballistic Shield, and it will be automatically equipped in these cases if no other weapons with One Handed are equipped.
  • Overall, this weapon's very high burst damage output (but very poor ammo economy) makes it an ideal emergency backup weapon, and it pairs very well with primary and support weapons that cannot themselves fend off close-up enemies very well, such as sniper rifles and explosives.
  • Due to the huge magazine size and ability to deal with any Terminid except the Hive Guard easily and effectively at 1-3 difficulties, it is an excellent choice as a primary weapon in those difficulties. Helldivers can bring any primary weapon they want.
