Tactical Information
- As a battle rifle, the Adjudicator's greatest strengths are its high damage per round and ability to penetrate medium armor. This makes it a strong asset on any battlefield.
- The weapon's heavy cartridge allows it to dispatch small enemies like Scavengers and Troopers in as little as two shots. This gives it extreme efficiency in many battlefield situations if its wielder can make each round count.
- With the same level of armor penetration as the Liberator Penetrator but almost twice the damage per round, the Adjudicator can be a very reliable weapon for dealing with armored foes. It can dispatch Brood Commanders, Hive Guards and Devastators with little difficulty.
- The Adjudicator's primary drawback is that its magazines are 33% smaller than those of the standard Liberator, and each shot inflicts more recoil, making it harder to put multiple rounds on the same target in quick succession.
- As it has a 30 round magazine, the Adjudicator cannot afford to spray rounds indiscriminately at enemies. The Semi-Auto firing mode can make it easier to conserve ammunition, as well as keep its heavy recoil under control. Making each round count is also key to ensuring that there are no enemies remaining to retaliate once the magazine runs empty.
- Battlefield spacing is a bigger concern for the Adjudicator because of these two conditions. While the increased recoil makes it difficult to put consecutive rounds on the same target quickly, the reduced fire rate necessary to keep the recoil under control also necessitates keeping foes at arm's length away.
- In order to keep its heavy recoil in check, equipping armor with the Engineering Kit or Fortified Armor Passives can greatly help. Additionally, a lowered stance also helps keep rounds on target, try not to stand up or move while firing the weapon unless enemies are extremely close.
Trivia
- Because the Adjudicator uses a full cartridge instead of an intermediate cartridge, it is a battle rifle rather than an assault rifle, and this is reflected in its designation of BR instead of AR.
- Unlike the other assault rifles, the Adjudicator does not utilize a bullpup design (its magazine is in front of the trigger guard).
