Deploys a defensive incendiary minefield, which will set both terrain and targets alight when triggered.

The MD-I4 Incendiary Mines is a defensive stratagem that blankets a roughly 25-30 meter diameter area around itself with incendiary mines. Upon detonation, the mines deal damage, slow, and apply a DoT effect to any units caught in the blast. This includes friendly targets such as other Helldivers and civilians in Emergency Evacuation missions. The mines also set the terrain on fire for a short duration, slowing and damaging units that walk through.

Tactical Information

Usage

  • Throwing the stratagem at the ground while running away will cause the mines to deploy behind the helldiver and catch any chasing enemies.
  • Like the anti-personnel mines, these work great in scenarios where the enemy is forced to follow through a chokepoint.
  • The damage over time effect from this can be combined with the orbital gas strike to tackle even the largest of crowds.
