Tactical Information

  • The TX-41 Sterilizer functions similarly to the FLAM-40 Flamethrower. It spews out caustic gas that slows and confuses enemies.
    • Gas expelled from the Sterilizer has a DPS and Durable DPS of 25, lingers for approximately 0.25 seconds in the air, and cannot stick to surfaces, unlike flames and napalm.
    • Unlike the Flamethrower, the Sterilizer doesn't have a firing delay due to the lack of a pilot light.
    • Enemies under the effect of the caustic gas are slowed by 25% and become confused, causing them to run into different directions while uncontrollably attacking anything nearby, potentially hitting their own allies.
  • With its low DPS and strong confusion effect, the Sterilizer is a purely crowd-controlling tool that is best used in short bursts - quickly spraying gas to inflict the effect and changing to another weapon to finish off the slowed and confused enemies.
  • Diving directly backwards while shooting the Sterilizer will deal damage to the Helldiver, due to their legs passing in front of the nozzle. This damage can be reduced by equipping armors with the Advanced Filtration passive.

  • It is one of the first Stratagems that must be obtained through a Warbond, alongside the AX/TX-13 "Guard Dog" Dog Breath.
