The GL-21 Grenade Launcher is a Support Weapon able to effectively clear small and medium sized enemies due to the large AoE of the grenades. A well rounded weapon, capable of firing full-auto if needed.

Tactical Information
- The Grenade Launcher's grenades have a short arming period before becoming active, causing the grenade to harmlessly bounce off objects for a short time after firing if it hits an enemy/object within the munition's arming distance before exploding.
- It excels at destroying Bug Holes, and is also capable of destroying Bot Fabricators when the grenade explodes in the lowest section inside the vents.
- The grenades perform well at dispatching hordes of smaller enemies.
- The Grenade Launcher performs well at dispatching various medium-sized Terminids.
- Nursing Spewers and Bile Spewers will die to 2-3 grenades to the acid sac.
- Hive Guards will die to 2 grenades, and will be heavily staggered on impact.
- Brood Commanders will die to 3 grenades, and also will not enter their Berserk state, as their head does not get removed.
- This support weapon pairs well with a Supply Pack, as the pack makes up for launcher's low reserve ammunition.
- It also pairs well with the Jump Pack, as it allows you to fire grenades from the high ground much easier.
- The Grenade Launcher is largely ineffective against heavier enemies such as Hulks and Chargers except when striking their weak points in their rears.
- While it is unable to kill a Bile Titan, it is able to very quickly cripple it by destroying the bile sacks on its stomach and tail, making it unable to spew bile.
